New Finds
Of the many things I miss about the Bay Area, the access to outdoor activities is at the top. We got really used to walking to hiking trails, creeks, playgrounds, and great dog walks. Being so close to Griffith Park means lots of those same things- just a drive now, and enforced leash laws (which I guess is a good thing?). Today the boys and I took to the hills and found "Amir's Garden" tucked way up in the hills with bright purple and orange flowers, succulents, a big fountain, picnic tables and tall, shady trees. Oh and a massive warning sign for mountain lions and rattle snakes :) Still, being only our second hike in the two months we've been here, I was more than happy to just explore and watch the boys get their hiking legs back. Of course I carried Quincy all the way down, but who cares...it was breezy with blue skies (and hunting red tail hawks) and soooo nice to get back to some dirt again!
